Moore Park Bus Interchange

Moore Park East is one of Sydney’s most important sporting and entertainment precincts, neighboring the Sydney Football Stadium, Sydney Cricket Ground, and Fox Studios. Spackman Mossop Michaels were lead consultants in the preparation and implementation of a masterplan to manage the impact of large crowds on the parkland.

The design focused on road closures and public transportation solutions within the park, freeing up parkland for recreation. Internal roads were decommissioned and replaced with a flexible civic and event space, acting as a bus interchange during large sporting events and a bus station designed by Bligh Voller Nield.
