Fitzgerald Neighborhood Revitalization Plan

Feature Projects

City of Detroit
Detroit, MI

This project creates a Central Park and Urban Greenway through an existing blighted neighborhood using city-owned vacant lots. Lots were aggregated and developed to accommodate a major open space improvement that is a part of a larger Landscape Stewardship plan that Spackman Mossop Michaels is leading. The Landscape Stewardship plan includes assisting the City of Detroit with the development of an RFQ for a Community Developer to create a blight-free 1/4 square mile area of the City. Workforce development is also a key component.
